In 1996 I started working with preschool children. I loved it so much I went back to Pasadena City College and took courses in Early Childhood Education. I also become interested in the Reggio Emilia approach in preschool education. I have done an online documentation course with Goerge Foreman. I did a week-end course at Cal State Fresno with Lillian Katz on project work with children and viewed the "The Hundred Languages of Children" exhibit. I also have belonged to the Reggio-L mailing list.
I have worked with infants, toddlers and preschoolers. My favorite age group is Preschoolers. At the moment I am working for a Hospital Day Care for their Employees. It was started by Yolanda Torres and the present director and half of the staff were picked by her many years ago.
In the Girls and Boys section I talk about the differences between girls and boys and the effect that parenting, and society has on them. It also applies to day care and pre-school.
